What is Code Critter?

Code Critter emerged from a spark of creativity and necessity. It began as my personal digital sandbox—a place where I could store and revisit the unique snippets of code crafted to tackle challenges in my day-to-day work. However, it wasn't long before a casual conversation illuminated a broader horizon. Others could benefit from these digital concoctions, and with that realization, Code Critter took its first breath.

This platform has since evolved beyond its original scope. Now, Code Critter serves as a communal treasure trove, offering not just the solutions that have streamlined my workflow, but also those that promise wide-reaching benefits. While not all treasures can be taken home, I've ensured that you can still experience their magic directly on this site—like the user-friendly color converter that's already becoming a favorite. Do you use AI?

Well the tl;dr is yes (see above I used AI to enhance that!), I like to use AI to do tasks such as turning an Excel list of items into a UL list or I like to use it to review say my CSS and reorganize it. I have a bad habit of adding things as I work and then I have to go in an reorder it so it makes sense to me later on and any one else looking at it. AI helps speed this task up and frees me to work on other things. I also like to use AI to check grammer, etc. and enchance writing and finally I will use AI to refresh my memory on something I've forgotten or if it's something I simply don't know use it to learn from. It tends to be far easier and quicker than looking at say Stack Overflow.

Do you think AI will replace huamn coders?

That's certainly a difficult question to answer, I've been coding for a long time and I've seen AI do some pretty crazy stuff but as of right now I don't think we will ever see an AI fully replace a human as a coder. It may be able to replace the entry level programmer that just handles the small tasks, but the ingenuity of a human I don't think will be replaced with in our lifetime. That's not to say it will never happen, I just simply don't think we will be around to see it.

No, I simply haven't completed it yet. I'm working on this site on the side of everything else so it takes a hit due to time constraints. If a link currently isn't working right now just check back and see if works later.
